Known Bugs

Y2K

You should update your SQED immediatly to become it Y2K ready.

You can do it from here

problem with big areas

An bug in message list (but no Fix available yet):

If an area contains more than 32767 messages is multiple selection only for the first 32767 functional. For all other the action selected will only work for the first selected message, the rest is ignored. This bug comes fom PM and its crazy implementation of the listbox functionality.

In my to to list is since a longer time comlete rewrite of the message list to become a better layout and simpler functionality. This should be come in one of the next (but not in the truly next) versions.

By the way sqed 1.20 is in alpha test. The GA is comming soon. It must be, because sqed is the only message editor I'm willing to use and the fixes inside ths version makes it Y2K ready.

Areanames are NOT casesensitiv - FIX available

in mixed Environment (sqed under OS/2, messagebase under Linux) are filenames always casesensitive!

Fixed in SQED/32 1.14a. See above.

very big areas

1. view Themen all - not fixed yet

A area with more as 14.000 mails is not viewable in 'themen all'

after 14.000 Messages sqed crashes with memory underrun independant of available swap space. This is because OS/2 does not return from malloc() if the address space is overcommitted.

If you spend not enough space for swapper.dat OS/2 crashes itself!

Reason:

Thereof is a rest of 250 MB free for application allocating. If an application allocates more the PM is shutting off!

going round:

split the area.

All problems are a very big change of most of all internal data structures. It will touch on most of the planned changes.

Version 1.20 is now in alpha test. I'd found some strange bugs in rexx interface, message handler and area handler. They must fixed before the new version can releasd.

Highligts of 1.20:
